Meet Kara
I'm Kara and I’m the woman behind Remarkable Weddings & Events.
With over 10 years of experience in tourism and events, I’m passionate about the industry and have organised corporate events, conferences, retreats, dinners, trade shows and more.
I moved to the Southern Flinders (for love!), I fell in love with the region the minute I moved! The Southern Flinders (and my now hubby!) romanced me with its country charm, rustic farmhouses and breath-taking backdrops.
Remarkable Weddings & Events was born after seeing a friend planning her wedding and noticing how she struggled to find information on what partners were located in the region to help. I thought there had to be an easier way – and here we are!
We have some fantastic local partners in the region and I wanted to showcase their amazing businesses. My goal is that Remarkable Weddings & Events will enable everyone to see the local talent available to help them make their big day or event the best it can be.

It was an absolute privilege to have Kara as our wedding coordinator! During the initial stages of wedding planning, my partner was adamant we didn't need anyone because we are already organised people but many arguments later, I won. After the wedding, he conceded that he was grateful I'd won because Kara was exceptional and such a relief to have on the day, which meant everyone could sit back and enjoy the wedding. Kara was an absolute delight to work with as our on the day coordinator. Nothing we asked for was too hard or too much! She worked so easily with all of our vendors and guests and allowed Joseph and I to completely step away from the wedding stress and just enjoy ourselves. From the initial consultation to the check in after the wedding day, Kara was so easy to communicate with and helped make recommendations based on her vast experience. Very easy to say that the day wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it did without her there and we are so grateful for it!
